Stay Warm. Keep Cool. Save Energy.

WyHy HVAC financing is designed for qualifying residential heat-pump projects, including:
-
Energy-efficient heat-pump heating and cooling systems
-
Qualifying dual-fuel heat-pump systems
-
Approved ductwork improvements
-
Thermostat and system control upgrades
-
Necessary electrical work associated with an eligible installation

The goal? A more comfortable, energy-efficient home, no matter what the forecast brings.
Not all HVAC equipment qualifies. Conventional furnaces, central air conditioners, and standalone boilers are not eligible on their own unless included as approved components of a qualifying heat-pump project. Actual energy savings vary.

HVAC Loan FAQs
What can I finance with a WyHy HVAC Loan?
WyHy HVAC Loans are designed primarily for qualifying energy-efficient heat-pump installations and major system upgrades. Certain related improvements, including ductwork, thermostats, and electrical work, may also qualify as part of an approved project.
How much can I borrow?
You can apply for $10,000 to $100,000 with fixed-rate terms of 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, or 20 years. Your approved amount and rate depend on your creditworthiness and other lending requirements.
Do I need a down payment?
Qualified borrowers may finance up to 100% of approved project costs with no down payment required.
Are there any hidden fees or prepayment penalties?
WyHy and loanTERRA don't charge origination fees, dealer fees, or prepayment penalties. Required state UCC and county fixture filing costs are passed through without markup. Other disclosed servicing or late-payment fees may apply.
Can I apply before choosing an HVAC contractor?
Absolutely! You can apply and receive a credit decision before selecting a contractor or finalizing your equipment quote. Your installer must be approved through the loanTERRA contractor network before the project moves forward.
How quickly will I receive a credit decision?
Most complete applications receive a decision in less than one business day. Applications requiring additional review may take longer. Project approval and installation involve additional steps.
Will applying affect my credit score?
Yes. Submitting an HVAC Loan application results in a hard credit inquiry, which may affect your credit score.
Do I need to be a WyHy member to apply?
No! Eligible nonmembers can apply for financing. You'll simply need to become a WyHy member before loan funds are disbursed.
Will a new heat pump lower my energy bills?
An energy-efficient heat pump may help reduce your heating and cooling energy use, but savings aren't guaranteed. Results depend on your home, existing equipment, insulation, energy rates, and usage.
What happens if I sell or refinance my home?
WyHy HVAC Loans include equipment-related UCC and county fixture filings rather than a traditional second mortgage. Loans generally must be paid off when you sell your home. If you're refinancing, contact your loan servicer early to discuss potential subordination requirements.
WyHy Federal Credit Union is the lender. loanTERRA facilitates the online application, underwriting workflow, and project review. Financing is subject to credit approval, eligible equipment, approved contractors, and program requirements. Eligible properties include owner-occupied primary residences and qualifying second homes; properties with reverse mortgages are ineligible. Participating contractors are independent businesses responsible for project design, pricing, installation, and workmanship. Rates and terms are subject to change. Submitting an application results in a hard credit inquiry.
