IDCheck

A better way to validate your identity during Shared Branching transactions

At WyHy, your security is our top priority.

With account takeover fraud on the rise, we've implemented IDCheck, a new identity verification measure for in-person visits to our Shared Branch locations. This enhanced security step ensures it's truly you accessing your account, not an imposter.

What is IDCheck?

IDCheck is an identity security and authentication tool designed for the Co-op Shared Branch network. It helps credit unions verify the identity of individuals during shared branching transactions, aiming to reduce fraud.

How It Works

If you visit a Shared Branch location and present an out-of-state ID, here's how the verification process works:

Scan the QR Code

Get the QR code in the branch or visit verify.coop.org and select WyHy Federal Credit Union.

Enter Your Account Information

Enter your member number + last four of your SSN.

Verify Your Identity

Upload your ID and take a quick selfie.

Get Your Passcode

Show your passcode to the teller (valid for 20 minutes).

Save your validation for an even faster experience next time!

We’re committed to keeping your money safe, whether you’re close to home or far from it.

This additional authentication will be used anytime you're withdrawing cash using an out-of-state ID at a Shared Branch location.

Important Details
Starting May 1, 2025, all credit unions in the CO-OP Shared Branch network will require IDCheck for withdrawal transactions involving out-of-state IDs, including the purchase of official checks.
A smartphone or smart device is necessary for this verification process.
Due to federal regulations, military IDs are not supported by IDCheck and will be rejected.
If you've previously authenticated and opted to store your validation, please note that getting a new smart device or presenting an expired ID will require you to complete the verification process again.
