Fall Shred Days

Leaves are falling, sweaters are coming out, and it’s the perfect time to clean out that stack of papers you’ve been meaning to shred. Old receipts, bank statements, and outdated bills, all while protecting yourself from identity theft in the process.
WyHy is bringing back Fall Shred Days to ALL of our branches. These events are free, secure, and designed to help you safely dispose of sensitive documents on-site with no stress.

Fall Shred Days

  • Casper: Oct 10, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

  • Cheyenne: Oct 11, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • Lyman: Oct 16, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Rock Springs: Oct 17, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Green River: Oct 17, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

What To Bring (and What To Leave Behind)

To make the most of Shred Days and keep things safe:

  • Bring documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, signatures, account numbers, old bank/credit card statements, outdated medical or insurance records, etc.

  • Also OK to bring: expired IDs or driver’s licenses, and anything else with personal identifying information.

  • Leave behind: non-paper items (plastics, metals), magazines or books with no personal info (unless you really want them shredded), and items that should be recycled separately.

Each person may bring up to two large boxes of paper.

Why It Matters

  • Shredding reduces the risk of identity theft. Old documents can contain enough info to put you at risk.

  • It’s environmentally responsible: the shredded paper is usually recycled.

  • It’s satisfying. Seriously. Watching that stack disappear = instant peace of mind.

Help Us Give Back

We’ll also be accepting donations for the Food Bank of Wyoming during Shred Days. While you’re decluttering, you can help feed Wyoming families.

We hope to see you at a Fall Shred Day near you.

We’re WyHy. We’re Wyoming. We're With You!
