Spot These 3 Common Scams

Scammers are getting smarter, but so are we. At WyHy, we’re here to help you recognize the red flags before things go sideways.

Here are three trending scams to keep an eye on, and what you can do to stay safe:

Investment Scams

What they say: “It’s a guaranteed return!”

Reality check: If it sounds too good to be true... it probably is!

What to do: Always research investment opportunities, especially if they ask for personal info upfront. Real investments come with risks, not promises.

Social Media Scams

What they say: “This exclusive deal won’t last long!”

Reality check: Flashy offers on social media often lead to fake products, phishing attempts, or straight-up theft.

What to do: Slow your scroll. Take a second to verify sellers and read reviews before you click "Buy Now".

Tech Support Scams

What they say: “We need access to fix your computer.”

Reality check: No legit tech support should need your password, security code, or remote access out of the blue.

What to do: Never give out private info, and remember, WyHy will never call or text asking for your passwords or codes.

The golden rule?

Pause. Verify. Breathe. Don’t let urgency be the reason you get scammed.
