Give Fraudsters Something to Be Afraid Of
Protecting your accounts doesn’t have to be scary. A few simple habits can make it much harder for fraudsters to get their hands on your money or personal information.

WyHy helps watch for suspicious debit and credit card activity, but you’re an important part of the team, too. If something doesn’t look right, acting quickly can make a big difference. The original newsletter also recommends account alerts for purchases, balances, login activity and other account changes so members can spot suspicious activity sooner.
- Turn on account alerts: Set up eAlerts in Online Banking to help keep an eye on your accounts. Notifications can help you quickly recognize activity you weren’t expecting.
- Keep an eye on your transactions: Take a quick look through your account activity regularly. If you see something you don’t recognize, don’t wait to investigate.
- Be suspicious of unexpected messages: Don’t automatically trust a call or text just because it appears to come from a familiar or local number. Caller ID can be spoofed, and unexpected links claiming to be from a financial institution should be treated cautiously.
- Use Card Controls when you need them: Can’t find your card? Card controls in Online and Mobile Banking can give you another way to manage your card while you figure out where it went.
And remember, if something feels suspicious, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Stop, don’t provide information, and contact WyHy directly.
When it comes to protecting your money, there’s nothing scary about being a little extra cautious.
