Join Us In Welcoming Our Newest Team Members

WyHy continues to grow—in every sense of the word! As our membership eligibility officially expands to include everyone across Wyoming, we’re also excited to announce the appointment of two new team members: Director of Marketing  Reese Johnston, and Chief Lending Officer George Sellitto.

As a lifelong credit union member, Reese Johnston possesses a keen appreciation of how not-for-profit banking has the power to elevate communities and individuals alike. She originally came to the Equality State as an undergrad at the University of Wyoming, where she earned a BA in English. Ms. Johnston continued her education at Northwestern University where she earned an MS in journalism. After holding positions at the University of Chicago in Illinois and Townsquare Media in New York, this native Chicagoan returned to Wyoming to build a career in Laramie County, working for the Laramie County Library System and later the City of Cheyenne. This multifaceted background in both private and public service gives her a unique perspective on the needs of WyHy’s members, the surrounding community, and beyond.

As the Director of Marketing  of WyHy, Ms. Johnston looks forward to guiding our team and developing stronger connections with members all over Wyoming. “Now that recent events have changed how we as individuals interact and conduct business on a day-to-day basis, I’m happy to help reinforce our digital products and better market new ways our members can be great stewards of their finances,” she shared in a recent conversation. “I’m grateful to be a part of the WyHy team and look forward to serving our members well into the future.”

Like Reese Johnston, our new CLO George Sellitto is a passionate advocate of credit unions. With 25 years of credit, risk management, and lending experience, he has worked with financial institutions across the nation, from New York to Florida. Mr. Sellitto’s deep understanding of the financial world has made him a go-to resource for implementing and managing multiple lending systems, including collections. He has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from St. John Fisher College and is a frequent guest speaker at the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business. He was also the first credit union employee ever appointed to the Equifax Consumer Financial Advisory Board.

As a CLO, Mr. Sellitto prides himself on his ability to help credit unions develop strategies for making the latest, state-of-the-art financial practices work for their members. “My goal is to have system auto-approvals optimized to get the highest approval percent instantaneously for a consistent superior member experience,” Mr. Sellitto said. “As the world evolves into a more contactless banking environment, it is critical to make the process as simple and as quick as possible.”

Our management and staff are excited to welcome Reese Johnston and George Sellitto as part of the leadership team to help us enrich members’ experiences for years to come. “As WyHy expands its services to meet the needs of residents across Wyoming, we could not be more excited to have both a Director of Marketing  and a Chief Lending Officer of such exceptional caliber at our institution,” said Bill Willingham, President/CEO of WyHy. “A credit union, or any business for that matter, is only as good as the company it keeps. And we are in great company with Reese and George by our side.”
