We’re THANKFUL for You!

At its core, "Thanksgiving” is an expression of gratitude. For most, the holiday is marked by bountiful dinners and time to gather as a family. But it is also a time that we choose to give back to our communities and to those less fortunate. This Thanksgiving we want to highlight a few of the ways WyHy and all of our amazing members have partnered with local organizations to help spread holiday cheer throughout Wyoming.

At WyHy, our “We’re with you” tagline is more than just three simple words– it encompasses the principles we live by to serve our members and the communities we live in. We take pride in giving back to local causes year-round and enriching the lives of those in need.

Food Bank of Wyoming

You may remember that during Document Destruction Days WyHy partnered with the Food Bank of Wyoming to provide food and necessities to people in need. WyHy members came out and supported their communities in a wonderful manner. Members donated food items and money to the Food Bank. WyHy matched member donations and we were able to present a check for over $1,900 to Food Bank of Wyoming - this means that WyHy members provided over 5000 meals for Wyoming families!⁠

Clothing for a Cause

Clothing for a Cause is a way for WyHy staff to show their own advocacy while supporting local charities and organizations in Wyoming. Twice a month staff can donate money to dress more casually at work to support a cause. Quarterly, we donate the money raised to a local Wyoming charity.

In 2022 WyHy used the donations collected through Clothing for a Cause to donate to Needs Inc. and the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Clothing for a Cause is an ongoing effort at WyHy and we look forward to continuing to make donations to other organizations!

Climb Wyoming

WyHy recently presented a check for $2,500 to Climb Wyoming, a non-profit organization with a large presence in Rock Springs whose mission is to help single mothers become self-sufficient through career training and placement.
For 35 years The Climb Wyoming program has helped move thousands of Wyoming families out of poverty and has been a positive impact on over 20,000 Wyoming children. As a vital part of the Rock Springs community, Climb Wyoming is helping to provide a hopeful future for single mothers today and for the next generation of Wyoming residents.

With our recent merger with Sweetwater FCU, WyHy Credit Union is pleased to be joining the Rock Springs community and is proud to contribute to its success.

Throughout the year, WyHy has been able to volunteer, sponsor, and donate to Habitat for Humanity, The United Way, Meals on Wheels, and Cowboys Against Cancer, just to name a few!
